Ken Buck says he can win the general election against Michael Bennet

The latest Rasmussen Reports poll of Colorado voters “shows there are a number of Republicans who can win in the general elections including me,” Weld County district attorney and a candidate for the GOP’s nomination for the U.S. Senate told me Saturday afternoon at a Tea Party rally on the west steps of Colorado’s Capitol.

Rasmussen’s latest poll shows Buck leading Bennet 42% to 38% while former Lt. Governor Jane Norton is leading Bennet 46% to 37% and former State Senator Tom Wiens is leading Bennet 42% to 41%.

Buck said he has campaign coordinators and chairmen in all 64 counties and that he has “dozens” of volunteers in some counties and one in other counties. Jane Norton’s campaign told me a couple of weeks ago that it has 41 teams in 41 counties and that it’s continually adding staff. Tom Wiens told me a couple of weeks ago that he was organized in 32 counties. Cleve Tidwell said he has campaign chairs in 30 to 35 counties.
