Stock markets looking uncertain; topping again

The Dow Jones Industrials and S&P 500 are looking toppy again. Long term, charts are bullish, but that could end any day.

Corn and soybeans are recovering

Corn and soybeans farmers are holding their crops off the markets in the face of weak export demand and in hopes that weather scares will give them higher prices in April, May and June. When the cold weather breaks, will farmers start selling in the face of possibly even bigger crops?

Rep. Mike Coffman’s empty tweets

You've got to wonder about the empty suits in Congress. Rep. Mike Coffman (R-CD 6, CO) tweets about Sec. of State Rice being the first black secretary of state and a University of Denver grad. Doesn't he have anything more important to tweet about?

So many politicians just don't know how to use social media, and Coffman's among them.

Consumer Reports hypes Tesla electric car, undermines its credibility

Consumer Reports magazine is a hard left, Gorean Climate Warming Alarmist not-for-profit with a large, well paid, politically correct staff.

It's hyping of the Tesla (TSLA) electric car is preposterous and undermines the magazine's credibility tremendously.

American Cancer Society hypes ObamaCare

The American Cancer Society has released a study that it says shows that young uninsured people are more likely to have late stage cancers than their insured peers are, but the study makes little sense. The news release is basically a public relations gambit designed to convince younger people that they should sign up for the terribly expensive and poorly designed ObamaCare (ACA).

CMS Obama Democrats making Medicare Part D drug program more expensive for seniors
In 2003, I blogged frequently against Medicare Part D, which provides drug subsides for seniors. Now I'm a beneficiary.

Poverty traps: Medicaid, food stamps, unemployment compensation, Social Security disability benefits

ObamaCare is what Rep. Paul Ryan (D-Wis.) accurately calls a "Poverty Trap".

Ken Buck sets himself up for demonization over abortion again

Ken Buck and his supporters and the left are intentionally talking past each other, and I think Buck is losing the argument in Colorado, which is a very anti-personhood state.

Personhood Republicans make it much easier for Obama Democrats to carry Colorado in 2014

Colorado's extremist personhood Republicans, including State Rep. Perry Buck, the wife of Ken Buck, today introduced a punitive and absurd personhood and anti-abortion bill (HB14-1133) that will mark all of the state's Republicans as extremists in the eyes of women and so called independents. In my opinion, the latest personhood bill will be used by ObamaDemocrats to demonize every Republican in the state. It will keep the Democrats in office and could help Andrew Romanoff retire Rep. Mike Coffman in the closely contested 6th Congressional district.

15 questions Republicans are asking gubernatorial candidates

The audience at the North Suburban Republican Forum had about 15 questions last Saturday for the three candidates for the GOP’s nomination to challenge Gov. John Hickenlooper next November. These same questions probably are being asked around the state as the candidates work to visit all 64 counties even though only about 12 counties have most of the votes.

Steve House would not sign a personhood petition; Greg Brophy supports the amendment

Adams County Republican Party Chairman Steve House, a candidate for the party’s gubernatorial nomination, said in an interview Saturday at the North Suburban Republican Forum in North Glenn that while he is pro-life, he would not sign a petition for a personhood amendment to the Colorado Constitution. Personhood amendments, which are designed to negate Roe vs. Wade and outlaw all abortions, would make all fetuses persons who couldn’t be aborted at conception. Similar amendments have lost by huge majorities in previous elections in Colorado.

John Hickenlooper tells Durango he hates the legalization of pot in Colorado; says he’s pro business

Governor John Hickenlooper is working the state for his re-election as hard or harder than Republican challengers are working the state to win their party's nomination to take him on.

Mark Udall should have easy win over Ken Buck, Amy Stephens, Own Hill; he’s blowing it on ObamaCare

Sen. Mark Udall should easily beat one of the Republicans who are seeking the GOP nomination to take him on—Ken Buck, Amy Stephens or Owen Hills.

What Ken Buck, Tom Tancredo said during their 2010 campaigns

Back on Oct. 19, 2009, Ken Buck, who is running for the GOP nomination to take on Sen. Mark Udall, sat down with me for an interview about what turned out to be his losing campaign against Sen. Michael Bennet.
