Sarah Palin, Jim DeMint, Ken Buck cost Republicans control of U.S. Senate
Sarah Palin and Sen. Jim DeMint foisted Ken Buck and other losers on the Republican Party, and that cost the GOP a chance to win control of the U.S. Senate in Tuesday's elections, according to Mort Kondracke, a long-time political reporter and pundit and a Fox News contributor. He calls Palin a joke in the first video. Is Palin's victory lap video, Together, a joke? It celebrates the winners she endorsed, not the losers.

6 or 7 Republicans will join Mike Coffman’s ‘victory caucus’ in the House
Six or seven veterans of the Gulf, Iraq and Afghanistan wars will join Mike Coffman's (R-CD 6) "Victory Caucus" in the House, reports Pete Hegseth. The number depends on whether another GOP vet wins in Arizona.

Colorado Republicans take state’s House; Dems control state Senate
Colorado's Republicans apparently have taken control of the state's House, but not the Senate. This will give the GOP a small say in the redistricting of the state in 2011, but the Democrats will pretty much have their way with a Democrat-controlled Senate, a Democrat governor and a Democrat-controlled state Supreme Court. At the least, the House Republicans should be unified enough to keep Hickenlooper and the Senate Demcrats from raising taxes or fees, but they won't get any tax cuts passed. Time will tell whether the very liberal spend and tax Senate will work with the Republicans and Governor-elect John Hickenlooper to cut spending, not just the rate of growth in spending.

Recount of Colorado U.S. Senate race would be futile
Democrat Sen. Michael Bennet is beating Republican Ken Buck by more than 7,000 votes, making the idea of a recount look pretty ridiculous. If the margin was only a few hundred votes, a recount would make sense. Follow the vote count here.
Ballot issues: Amendment 60, 61, 62 get 70% to 75% NO votes; Amend. 63 gets 53% NO
Colorado voters crushed the extremists behind the personhood Amendement 62 and the tax cutting Amendments 60 and 61 and Proposition 101. They also rejected Jon Caldera's fundraising publicity stunt, Amendment 63, which purportedly would have allowed Coloradans to avoid ObamaCare's mandates that everyone must buy health insurance or pay fines. Fox 31 and The Denver Channel have the results with about 88% of votes counted.
Landslide victories for 3 Colorado Supreme Court judges
The three very liberal and partisan Colorado Supreme Court judges who were up for retention in Tuesday's election are winning landslide victories over their mostly conservative opponents, according to data posted on Fox 31.
Michael Bennet’s ground team beats Ken Buck’s by 6,940 votes; minor parties take almost 90,000 votes
With about 87% of the votes counted, Democrat Senator Michael Bennet (D-Washington, DC), is beating Republican Ken Buck by 6,940 votes, or about 47.5% to 47.1%, according to data posted at Fox 31. Minor party candidates are taking almost 90,000 votes from both Bennet and Buck, but it looks like they're taking more from Buck.

John Suthers, Scott Gessler, Walker Stapleton have comfortable leads
Colorado Attorney General John Suthers obviously has been re-elected. And with 60% of the votes counted, Scott Gessler apparently will unseat Secretary of State Bernie Buescher while Walker Stapleton is leading Treasurer Cary Kennedy. This is good news for the Colorado GOP. See results at Fox 31 here.
Obama’s pulled a Bush; he’s alienated voters so much that he’s put his party in a deep hole
President Barack Obama has pulled a George W. Bush. In only two years, he's so alienated voters that he's put the Democratic Party in a deep hole. It took Bush six years to hand the House and Senate over to the Democrats in 2006. Since the 2008 election, I've been saying that Bush's legacy was Obama, and you can't do any worse than that. Tonight, I stand by that snark.
So far tonight, Republicans have picked up six Senate seats and may pick up one or two more. And Fox News is saying the GOP could pick up 65 seats in the House. It's just amazing.
Republicans rooting for Dan Maes to top 10% of votes
Colorado Republicans are rooting for Dan Maes to top 10% of the votes now that Tom Tancredo has lost to Governor-elect John Hickenlooper. With 48% of precincts reporting, Maes has 10.6% of the votes, which is more than most predicted. 7News has the best display of election results here. Channel 31 has a better results page here.
Ken Buck is leading Michael Bennet 48% to 47%
Ken Buck is leading Michael Bennet 48% to 47% after trailing all night as votes from outside the Denver-Boulder area come in. It may be a long night. UPDATE: With 57% of votes in, Bennet leads by over 8,000 votes, 48% to 47%. If Buck wins, he'll be the 7th pickup for the GOP tonight. Thus, Buck is leading by only about 6,000 votes, and there are a lot of votes to be counted.
Colorado conservatives creamed in governor’s race, on Supreme Court judges and on ballot initiatives
With about 43% of the votes in, Colorado's conservatives are being creamed in some big races. They're losing their ballot initiatives. And they failed to fire any Supreme Court judges. It seems unlikely that the conservatives can win those races.
