Ken Buck will let you have your new knees

Republicans are making the classic mistake of promising to repeal ObamaCare when they know that Democrats always will have enough votes in Congress to protect major sections of the bill. What Republicans like Ken Buck, Ryan Frazier, Cory Gardner and Scott Tipton should be doing is telling how they will protect us from ObamaCare. Here’s my first draft of 

one approach. It involves a story, a warning, a promise and a declaration of support for Ken Buck for Senate.

Jackie’s new knees

 

Last year I got two new knees. One in April. The other one in October. 

 

Now I can ski again, hike and bike. I walk like I used to.

 

Pain free.

 

But Michael Bennet doesn’t want me or you to have new knees.

 

That’s why he voted for ObamaCare.

 

ObamaCare gives one old man, Dr. Donald Berwick, the power to deny me new knees. Dr. Berwick runs Medicare. He’s Michael Bennet’s guy.

 

Berwick thinks a shot should fix old worn out knees.  

 

I know better.

 

But Dr. Berwick wants to save money. So he won’t let you get your new knees, hips or hand joints when you need them. 

 

He wants you to live with your pain. Stay home. Grow old “gracefully.”

 

Michael Bennet agrees with Dr. Berwick. He’ll give President Obama and Dr. Berwick all the power they need to make sure you don’t get your new knees.

 

I’m glad I got my new knees before Michael Bennet gave Dr. Berwick the power to make me hurt for the rest of my life.

 

Ken Buck won’t let Barack Obama and Dr. Berwick sentence you to a long painful retirement with worn out, painful old knees.

 

Michael Bennet will. He’ll do whatever President Obama tells him to do. He’s Obama’s rubber stamp.

 

I’m voting for Ken Buck for Senator.
