Warren Buffett’s Berkshire (BRK.B) jumps 15.45% in latest week; its portfolio rises 0.95%
Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A, BRK.B) jumped 15.45% to $4,595 for the B shares in the latest week, while its portfolio of 38 stock rose 0.95%.
In the last month, total returns on Berkshire’s portfolio are up 4.16%, and year to date, they are down 3.63%. Over the last 12 months, the portfolio’s average total returns are down 6.66%, and over the last three years, they are up an average of 4.65% a year.
The stocks in the portfolio are expected to rise an average of 17.97% a year over the next three years. The PEG ratio (PE/projected growth rate) is 1.48. The portfolio is trading for an average of 79% of Moringstar.com’s estimated fair value of the stocks held by Berkshire. Not all of the stocks in the portfolio have been held since this year, and some of them won’t be in the portfolio a year or two from now.
BRK.B closed Friday at 90% of its estimated fair value, which is $5,100 per share.
Total returns on BRK.B shares are up 17.82% in the last month, down 2.98% YTD, up 17.81% in the last 12 months and up an average of 19.16% a year over the last three years. The expected annual returns are expected to average 19.16% over the next three years, according Morningstar.
