Colo. ballot initiatives failing; 57% want Arizona law; economy top issue; voters split on tea party

Colorado ballot initiatives 60, 61, 62, 63 and 101 appear to be headed for crushing defeats, according to a Denver Post/ 9News polls conducted by Suvreys USA. 

 

Likely voters favor an Arizona-type immigration law 57% to 40% with 3% not sure. They support marijuana legalization 46% to 43%. President Obama's unfavorables beat his favorables 49% to 43% with 82% of Democrats saying favorable and 87% of Republicans unfavorable. Top issues: jobs and economy 65%; Federal deficit 12%, immigration 9%, health care 5%, energy 3% and war in Afghanistan 3%.

These results show that more voters are inclined to vote Republican than Democrat, which should be good news for Tom Tancredo, Ken Buck, Ryan Frazier, Scott Tipton and Cory Gardner.
