Dan Maes confirms he got offers to drop out; Tom Tancredo campaign calls story ‘ludicrous’
Dan Maes has confirmed an unbelievable story that a couple of GOP county chairs and a prominent blogger offered him deals if he would drop out of the gubernatorial race and that he refused to quit. The accuser said no one in the Tom Tancredo campaign was involved in the discussions, and a spokesman for the Tancredo campaign called the story "ludicrous." I find the story very hard to believe. Maes isn't worth a buyout, and nobody in politics is dumb enough to make such an offer because it's illegal. Maes doesn't have to quit for Tancredo to win, because Republican voters have fired Maes as their candidate. Polls and rallies are showing that Tom Tancredo has become the gubernatorial candidate for the Republicans as well as for his American Constitution Party. There are no "prominent" bloggers in Colorado.
