Dick Wadhams hasn’t called special meeting to change Colorado Republican Party bylaws
Dick Wadhams, chairman of the Colorado Republican Party, has not called a special meeting of county chairmen or the party’s executive committee to consider changing the party’s bylaws, which say party officials are not allowed to support candidates who are not Republicans, Chelsey Penoyer, a spokeswoman for the party, just told me. A regularly-scheduled executive committee meeting just finished and the bylaws weren’t considered, she told me. There had been rumors that such a meeting had been called. Many Republican leaders have directly and indirectly disowned the Republican party’s candidate for governor, Dan Maes. Wadhams is considered to be one of those leaders. On KHOW, Wadhams said he and the executive committee consider Dan Maes their candidate.
