Fox News: John Hickenlooper 44%, Tom Tancredo 34%, Dan Maes 15% and sinking like a rock

A Fox News poll shows that, as expected, Tom Tancredo is eating into John Hickenlooper's lead while Dan Maes is sinking like a rock to irrelevance. The results: Hickenlooper 44%, Tancredo 34% and Maes 15%. Tancredo's campaign issued a statement which concluded:

 

<blockquote>"John Hickenlooper can hear the footsteps behind him as rank-and-file GOPers and independents make the choice to back the ‘electable conservative,’” said Bay Buchanan, Tancredo's campaign manager. “The incredible momentum behind the Tancredo campaign has turned this race for governor into a two-man race and it is time that Mayor Hickenlooper agreed to two-man debates. Dan Maes is all but irrelevant and the voters of Colorado have a right to have the two men who could be governor face off on the issues.”

This latest Fox News poll comes on the heels of an aggressive advertising campaign by Tancredo. Tancredo has also been traveling the state to earn votes, visiting southern Colorado last week and Western Colorado today.</blockquote>
