Gov. Bill Owens won’t endorse a candidate for governor in 2010
Former Republican Governor Bill Owens told me tonight that he will not endorse a candidate for governor this year.
Owens and former Governor Dick Lamm had just finished interviewing this year's gubernatorial candidates, John Hickenlooper (D), Tom Tancredo (ACP) and Dan Maes (R). Owens was a tough interviewer of Tancredo and Maes, questioning their facts and proposals, and like Lamm, he went after Hickenlooper on his close ties to unions and on whether he would pander to unions. Indeed, Owens and Lamm did a great job of interviewing the candidates.
