How bloggers, talk radio and Fox drove contributors to Scott Brown’s web site

FaceBook, Twitter, bloggers, talk radio and Fox News all helped attract contributors to Senator-elect Scott Brown’s (R-MA) web site in the final weeks of his campaign.

Patrick Ruffini describes how the contributions came in at a steady rate from the day Brown announced his candidacy and then took off as supporters realized he had a chance to win the “people’s seat” formerly held by the late Senator Kennedy.

The fundraising hockey stick is in the dreams of candidates like Colorado’s gubernatorial candidate Dan Maes and senatorial candidates Ken Buck, Tom Weins and Cleve Tidwell. Whether they will have the same kind of lucky circumstances as Brown did seems doubtful and remains to be seen. In any case, this is a very interesting article for political junkies.
