Is Governor Bill Ritter selling jobs in his administration?

Because three activists organizations are paying the salary of Alice Madden, the state’s climate change coordinator, Jessica Corry writes that the deal shows that Governor Bill Ritter “should write a guidebook on how to buy a top post in his administration.” That Ritter doesn’t see a problem with the arrangement only shows how a lawyer like Ritter can convince himself that what seems like an unethical arrangement to outsiders is just politics for him. The Chicago Way is permeating the Democratic Party. What do Scott McInnis and Dan Maes think of Ritter’s deal with Madden?
