John Hickenlooper scared into going negative against Tom Tancredo
With conservative Tom Tancredo winning over Republicans and independents and nipping at the heels of "Governor-elect" Obama Democrat John Hickenlooper, Hick has abandoned his "positive" campaign and is attacking Tancredo in semi-public meetings while publicly pretending to run a positive campaign. Hickenlooper says in this video that he doesn't think Tancredo would make a good governor, but a growing number of Coloradans do. While Hickenlooper would play nice with "collaborative" special interests and help them protect their perks and pork, Tancredo would lead his government and the legislature through the process of accepting the pain that goes with cutting spending and balancing the budget. HIckenlooper has a long record of backing expensive new projects and going to voters for tax increases, which won't work in this economy.
