Ken Buck 47%, Michael Bennet 47% and gaining
It looks like the only way Ken Buck can unseat appointed Obama Democrat Senator Michael Bennet is if significantly more Republicans turn out than Democrats, because the candidates are tied at 47% each with Bennet gaining in the new Denver Post/ 9News poll by SurveyUSA. While there is a GOP "enthusiasm gap" that favors Republicans in most of the country, in Colorado, Republican turnout may be dampened by Buck's verbal gaffes and Bennet's ads that are hammering Buck on his positions on abortion and other issues. Republicans who don't want to vote for Tom Tancredo, Dan Maes or John Hickenlooper for governor also may skip the election, taking votes away from Buck.
