Scott Tipton has chance to beat John Salazar; Cook calls race toss up

The Cook Political report is calling Colorado’s third Congressional district a toss up race between U.S. Rep. John Salazar (D) and Scott Tipton (R).

Tipton is noting that he leads Salazar 51% to 43% in a poll by American Action Forum, which was conducted between Aug. 23 and 28. Magellan Strategies’ Aug. 17 poll showed Tipton leading Salazar 49% to 43%.
