Tom Tancredo congratulates Dan Maes for raising only $14,467
Conservative gubernatorial candidate, Tom Tancredo, issued a congratulatory note to Republican Dan Maes for raising only $14,467 in the two weeks ended Sept. 15. “Dan Maes said he would make history. Well he has. Dan raised less money in a reporting period than any other Republican candidate for Governor of Colorado ever has. Congratulations, Dan,” Tancredo’s campaign manager, Bay Buchanan wrote in a statement. Maes has been toast since early June.
Tancredo reported $120,429.06 in net contributions after returns, bringing his total for the campaign to $318,118.47. He had $80,503.61 on hand on Sept. 15. These numbers show that he is collecting money faster in September than he did in August when he collected about just under $200,000.
