Tom Tancredo has raised $476,000 and will be very competitive with John Hickenlooper
Conservative gubernatorial candidate Tom Tancredo told me tonight that he has raised $476,000 for his campaign. That is almost double the $250,000 fundraising target he set for himself at the end of July when he entered the campaign. He has raised $157,881 since Sept. 15, up from the $120,429.06 he raised during the first two weeks of September, bringing his total for the month to about $278,310. That's not bad for a "third party" candidate for governor. Of course, Tancredo's fundraising pales in comparison with Obama Democrat John Hickenlooper's more than $3 million, and Tancredo probably won't get much if any support from independent conservative groups while independent left-wing groups will run some ads for him. Tancredo's big ad push will begin next week.
