Where is Tom Wiens?

Where is Colorado Republican U.S. Senate candidate and former state senator Tom Wiens?

When I compiled my Colorado Political events calendar, Wiens was nowhere to be seen on the web sites I checked. The last events listed on his web site were for Dec. 17.

His last post on his web site is dated

December 30.

His last post on Facebook is dated December 30.

He’s nowhere to be seen on Twitter, where he was active up until a week or two ago.

Google him, and he hasn’t been covered by the media at a public event since mid December.

His supporters who have posted on www.RockyMountainRight.com also haven’t been seen for some time.

I would e-mai or call Wiens for comment, but I know I either wouldn’t get an answer or I would be told that the campaign is in full swing. If so, I hope he e-mails me or he or one of his staff reply in the comments section.

At this point, I’m guessing fundraising didn’t go well in the fourth quarter and we may see Wiens drop out of the Senate race sooner than later. He’s a smart businessman, and like Josh Penry, he knows how to cut his losses and move on.

Could be wrong, but that’s how the dots are connecting for me.
