Colorado’s natural gas markets changed by new pipelines, competition
New pipeline capacity combined with increased natural gas production in other parts of the U.S. and reduced demand during the recession have dramatically changed the natural gas markets in the Rocky Mountains and Colorado, Dennis Webb reports. Note that even though politicians are making Colorado’s new drilling permit laws and regulations a big issue, Webb doesn’t bring them up in his story, which seems like a significant omission. Nevertheless, this is a good story for anyone interested in Colorado economics and jobs. Link:
