Denver Post endorses Michael Bennet for Senate
The Denver Post has endorsed appointed Obama Democrat Sen. Michael Bennet over Republican Ken Buck. This endorsement is no surprise even though the Post has disagreed with Bennet on union card check, which he will vote for, and his rubber stamp votes for the failed $780 billion stimulus bill and the nationalization of health insurance and health care in ObamaCare. Bennet also is strongly anti-Colorado on energy, climate change and taxes. What cost Buck the endorsement? I'm guessing social issues, illegal immigration and Buck's promise to never vote for a tax increase were the deal killers for the Post's CEO, Dean Singleton. Because this is a close race, the Post's endorsement will help Bennet. But because of the anti-Obama tide and Bennet's voting record, Buck still has a chance to win, especially if Democrats don't turnout as Republicans will.
