Does that mean that Bennet's no longer an Obama Democrat and that he's just a Reid Democrat? Or does it mean that Bennet wants Reid to have the power to hand out earmarks and buy votes for bigger spending bills as the wheeling dealing senate leader deems necessary? Has Bennet's talk about reforming the Senate been just another one of his ploys to get elected at any cost?

While earmarks don't really amount to much in the scheme of things, they are used to win votes for expensive bills. If a member of the House or Senate has a precious earmark in a big spending bill he really doesn't like overall, he's more likely to vote for his earmark and the irresponsible spending bill than not.

Apparently, Bennet thinks it's ok for his Leader Reid to use earmarks to drive the U.S. into bankruptcy. Or, maybe he's campaigning for something that he's not telling us about, and he needs to suck up to Reid who wants to protect his power to use earmarks to corrupt Bennet, Udall and other Senators.
