Dan Maes raised less than $10,000; his campaign treasurer is missing in action

This has been a bad and possibly sad day for Republican gubernatorial candidate, Dan Maes. He tells the Denver Post that he raised less than $10,000 in the fourth quarter and he hasn’t been able to reach his campaign treasurer so that he can file his fundraising report with the state.

Is he about to drop out? He’s still talking a good game, but I’m not convinced. How can the candidate who has promised to use his business experience to turn around Colorado’s budget crisis survive this? UPDATE: Maes doesn’t appear ready to quit.
