Ken Buck: GOP shouldn’t try full repeal of ObamaCare (HR 3590)

Weld County District Attorney Ken Buck, a candidate for the GOP’s nomination for the U.S. Senate, told a Longmont audience that while he would the repeal of much of ObamaCare (HR 3590) if it’s passed and he’s elected, it would be irresponsible to repeal the whole thing. 

He said the bill’s provisions for funding increased used of electronic medical records might be worth keeping, according to a report in the Longmont Times Call.

Buck called the current federal policy on illegal immigration “broken.” He said the nation needs to strengthen its border security but to reform the process so that it’s easier to become a legal immigrant,” Scott Rochat reported.

Buck said Governor Ritter is an old friend and was the best man in his wedding. He said people ought to accept Ritter’s explanation that he is not running because he thinks he needs to spend more time with his family, Rochat reported.

1. I agree with Mr. Buck, we shouldn’t throw the baby out with the bath water. If there is ANY good in any of the liberal legislation getting rammed down our throats, lets keep it but repeal the rest.

   This is a fine example of why I support Ken Buck, he isn’t going to pander to the lowest common denominator, he will do and say what is right. He will be a real Conservative, not a token candidate.

2. I also agree that the GOP shouldn’t try to kill the whole bill, because Obama would let it and because some of the provisions make sense.

   What the GOP should promise is to do everything it can to repeal all of the pork and exemptions for special interests in the bill.
