Rasmussen: Scott McInnis 48%, Bill Ritter 40%

Republican gubernatorial candidate Scott McInnis leads Governor Bill Ritter 48% to 40%, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports poll of Colorado voters. Unaffiliated voters prefer McInnis 46% to 39%. Ritter gets very favorable ratings from 17% of voters and is seen very unfavorably by 27%. Voters view McInnis very favorably 17% to 12% very unfavorably.

47% of voters approve of the job Ritter is doing versus 51% who disapprove.

“The results of this independent poll by a highly respected national pollster shows that our pro-jobs, pro-taxpayer message continues to contrast well with Bill Ritter’s record of driving jobs away while raising taxes and fees on Colorado families,” McInnis said in a statement. “We will continue to work hard for every vote, neighborhood by neighborhood, stressing how new, energetic, common-sense leadership will make Colorado first again.”

Dan Maes, the other GOP candidate, is not mentioned by Rasmussen.
