Is Rep. Cory Gardner’s campaign against Sen. Mark Udall off to a slow start? GOP death wish?
Rep. Cory Gardner seems to be off to a slow start in his campaign to unseat Sen. Mark Udall. Udall is showing his confidence by declaring that he would vote for ObamaCare again, restating his opposition to fracking and the Keystone pipeline and claiming falsely that climate change causes forest fires. Here is what worries me about the Gardner campaign:

Mark Udall, John Hickenlooper campaigns demonizing Republicans on personhood
As predicted, the Republican Colorado gubernatorial and senatorial candidates are being hammered by the Mark Udall and John Hickenlooper campaigns on Coloradopols.com for supporting personhood anti-abortion amendments in 2008 and 2010. Both failed by huge margins, but the GOP base demands that its candidates support personhood legislation and constitutonal amendments at the state and federal levels.

David Camp tax reform bill is progressive, hits businesses, individuals making $200k plus
Taxfoundation.org says Rep. David Camp's (R-MI) tax bill would make taxes simpler and less expensive for lower income folks who already don't pay much in taxes and increase taxes on people who make more than $200,000 a year. The bill is bitterly opposed by investment bankers and Wall Street, which has turned off its campaign contributions to Republican candidates like Colorado's Rep. Cory Gardner who is expected to challenge Sen. Mark Udall. Few politicians are cheering Camp's bill, and it's dead on arrival for this year.
Top line assessment of Camp's tax reform: Increases progressivity and taxes on business and investment. By William McBride & Scott A. Hodge, TaxFoundation.org

Owen Hill fans trashing Cory Gardner, RINOs, independents, politicians
In response to a ColoradoPeakPolitics.com "letter to" Colorado senate candidate, State Sen. Owen Hill, his fans are trashing the political process and Rep. Cory Gardner (R-CD-4), who is expected to announce that he's in the race and already is being touted by Republicans as the guy who might beat Sen. Mark Udall. Hill apparently is more of a so called tea party candidate and supporter of the Stoner Generation than most because his supporters are showing a strong distaste for politics, politicians and the political process. In their comments on the blog's appeal to Hill to drop out of the senate contest and wait his turn, most of his fans look quite naive and distraught. In his short tenure in the state senate, Hill reportedly has voted against pot sales taxes and with the pot lobby almost every time. Is that true?

Cory Gardner, Scott Gessler, Tom Tancredo need strong web sites, Facebook pages
Republicans Cory Gardner, Scott Gessler and Tom Tancredo need strong web and Facebook pages. Gardner's new web site for his senate campaign isn't up because he hasn't officially announced, yet. Gessler's web page is even weaker than Tancredo's, and that's not saying much. Campaign consultants favor fundraising priorities for their candidates' web sites over content that sells them to activists and voters. Take a look at their sites, which are pitifully shallow, take voters for granted and show no respect for voters who want to see where they stand on the issues.

Bob Beauprez, Cory Gardner, Ken Buck know Big Money GOP contributors are lousy candidate pickers
If Republicans' Big Money contributors are picking Rep. Cory Gardner to beat Sen. Mark Udall and former Rep. Bob Beauprez to beat Gov. John Hickenlooper, Democrats must be laughing all of the way to November. In Colorado, the GOP's senior statesmen and largest contributors haven't picked a winning senatorial or gubernatorial candidate in over a decade. They always pick sure winners who aren't.

Ken Buck, Amy Stephens out of Colorado senate race; Cory Gardner has chance to beat Sen. Mark Udall
Now that Ken Buck and Amy Stephens have droped out of the Colorado Senate race, Republican Rep. Cory Gardner (CO-CD-4) has a chance to beat Sen. Mark Udall because the Democrat senator is a dependable party line supporter of Liar-in-Chief Obama and the most dishonest Senate majority leader in our history, Sen. Harry Reid.
