Cory Gardner names Mike Bennett, Natalie Farr and Rachel Boxer to senior staff

Rep.-elect Cory Gardner (CO CD-4) named three more members of his senior staff. Mike Bennet district director, Natalie Farr legislative director and Rachel Boxer communications director. Press release is after the jump.

Rep.-elect Gardner names senior staff

Rep.-elect Cory Gardner, who will be sworn in January 5, is gearing up for a strong start to 2011 by naming his top aides and preparing for the grand opening of his five congressional offices.
Gardner previously appointed his Campaign Manager Chris Hansen as Chief of Staff and is now adding a District Director, Legislative Director and Communications Director.
District Director Mike Bennett (not to be confused with U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet)

  • Bennett brings a wealth of political and private sector experience to the position of District Director.  He first served as District Director for then Congressman Wayne Allard and subsequently Chief of Staff for Allard’s Senate office.  President Bush then appointed Bennett as the Colorado State Director of USDA Rural Development.  Bennett has also worked in the private sector for the banking industry as a bank director, bank president and loan officer.  Bennett lives in Fort Collins, is a Yuma native and a graduate of Colorado State University.

Legislative Director Natalie Farr

  • For the last two years, Farr worked at the Republican Study Committee under Chairman Tom Price, of Georgia.  The RSC is a group of over 115 conservative members of Congress, and it is anticipated to grow upon the swearing in of the new freshman class.  Prior to her years at the RSC, Farr was a political appointee at the Department of Labor in its Congressional Affairs branch.  Farr also worked for Rep. John Shadegg, of Arizona, and the Senate Republican Policy Committee.

Communications Director Rachel Boxer

  • Boxer was the Communications Director for Gardner’s Congressional campaign and will fill the same role in his official office.  She previously worked for Jane Norton’s U.S. Senate campaign and as the Press Secretary for the Colorado State Senate Republicans.  Boxer graduated from the University of Colorado with a journalism degree.
