John Hickenlooper raised $403,597.95 in August, spent $357,798.06; $171,542.98 on hand

Democrat gubernatorial candidate, John Hickenlooper, reported to the Colorado Secretary of State that between July 29 and Sept. 1 he raised $411,211.95, returned $7,614 in contributions and netted $403,597.95 for the month. He spent $357,798.06 and ended the period with $171,542.98 cash on hand. Since January when he entered the race for governor, Hickenlooper has raised $2,740,993.98 and spent $2,569,451. Most of his spending has been on ad space and time that will be used between now and Nov. 2. Government contractors and others who slop at Colorado’s pork trough are rushing to buy influence with Gov.-elect Hickenlooper and his friends.
